Introducing Namasté Project

Namasté e.V. is a non-profit association based in Chiemgau, founded in 2008, with the aim of providing orphans in Nepal with a home, a good education, a balanced diet and loving care.

The name is derived from the ubiquitous greeting "Namasté" in Nepal, India and also some other countries in Asia. It means something like: I honor in you the divine spirit that I also honor in myself - and I know that we are thus one.

Nepal is one of the poorest countries and has the worst medical care in the world. This situation hits orphans particularly hard. They have comparatively little chance of survival and development. The association Namasté e.V. opened the orphanage "Amazing Namasté" in Kathmandu in 2013 and has meanwhile taken in 12 orphans between the ages of 5 and 15.

All children we take in receive a promise from us that we will take care of them until they can do it on their own. Therefore, our orphans are in our safe care at least until they are adults. Until then, we provide them with education, security and love, the best conditions for a life with a future.
